Kristian Barstad Dysthe (born 16 September 1937) is a Norwegian mathematician. He took the cand.real. degree at the University of Bergen in 1962, and the dr.philos. degree in 1972. He became professor in applied mathematics at the University of Tromsø in 1972, and at the University of Bergen from 1992 to retirement in 2007.

After Igor's death in 945, Olga ruled Kievan Rus as regent on behalf of their son Sviatoslav. Little is known about Olga's tenure as ruler of Kiev, but the Primary Chronicle does give an account of her accession to the throne and her bloody revenge on the Drevlians for the murder of her husband as well as some insight into her role as civil leader of the Kievan people.
